A father in Cordoba is accused of murdering his own daughter before trying to take his own life.
The suspect was arrested by the Policia Nacional in the Ciudad Jardin neighbourhood on Monday night.
It is not clear how he tried to kill himself but he was arrested near the Cordoba train station.
According to government sources cited by El Español, the farther was registered in the VioGen system, which registers domestic violence or abuse offenders.
However, the same sources said the investigation so far does not point to an act of gender-based violence.
The daughter, according to the COPE radio network, was not a minor.
