Social media users have raised the alarm over an alleged thief using an e-scooter to rob people of their phones in Fuengirola.

Multiple victims said they had their devices targeted while walking in the centre of the Costa del Sol town over the past week.

One alleged victim said she was able to hold onto her phone and managed to record a video.

She wrote: ‘Someone also tried to steal my phone. Luckily, I was able to record a video, and I think the description from the other victim matches the one in the video.

‘The incident occurred in the centre of Fuengirola, on Ramon y Cajal Avenue.’

One man said: ‘They just stole my phone’s wife from her in Calle Asturias… it was a big guy on an e-scooter.’

One resident fumed: ‘It’s awful, you can’t even take your phone out on the street anymore.

‘I have to walk from my house to the bus stop from the bars early in the morning and I’m terrified.’
