Triple A has blasted Marbella town hall after being left in a ‘very bad’ situation following the latest bout of severe rain.
The animal sanctuary shared a series of videos on Facebook showing how its facilities were left flooded by Storm Francis on Sunday.
It comes after the Ayuntamiento de Marbella spent €1.5million upgrading the shelter between 2023 and 2024.
Triple A said on Sunday: ‘The next dogs and cats found in Marbella and San Pedro, you do not need to bring us anymore, Ayuntamiento de Marbella.
‘You can take them to your homes to foster, or look for fosters or fix the problems caused by the constructions.
‘The shelter is under water due to the disgraceful work of constructions done, and we do not see any offer of help, not a question of concern such as ‘How you are surviving in the storm?’

‘It is not going good. It’s going very bad.’
The Spanish Eye has contacted Marbella town hall for comment.
It comes after the Costa del Sol was placed on a red weather alert by state weather agency Aemet on Sunday.
Aemet is warning of up to 120mm of rainfall per square metre in the affected areas, covering the Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley.
The public weather service said the western half of the Costa del Sol is expected to be worst hit by the weather, which was expected to last well into late Sunday night.
