The Red Cross is preparing an evacuation centre in Cartama after intense storms once again caused the Rio Guadalhorce to burst its banks.
The severe weather is being caused by Storm Francis, which is bringing torrential rainfall across the Costa del Sol and Guadalhorce Valley.

A red alert was issued across both regions shortly before 3pm on Sunday, with at least 120mm of rainfall per square metre expected.
Some homes in Cartama have been evacuated as precaution after the Guadalhorce River burst its banks.
The warning is in place until at least 9pm on Sunday night.
Cartama town hall said: ‘The table tennis pavilion at Estación de Cártama (between Calle Verdi and Avda. Francisco Gómez Cañete) has been enabled to accommodate people from the municipality and neighboring localities who have been affected by the floods.’
In a post on social media, it shared various photos of the Red Cross setting up beds in the centre.
