A second weather alert has been sent to phones across the Costa del Sol after multiple rivers burst their banks on Sunday.
The warning came shortly after 10.30pm and warned residents that an ’emergency situation’ has been declared.
It comes after the region was placed under a feared red alert by state weather agency Aemet.
The latest warning read: ‘Civil Protection Alert activated due to an emergency situation.
‘In view of this situation: exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary travel.

‘Do not cross flood-prone areas and respect road closures. Do not carry out activities in riverbeds or nearby areas.
‘If you are in a flood-risk zone, move to higher ground or go up to an upper floor. Follow the recommendations of emergency services (112).’
