The body of a young motorcyclist has been found in Granada after he was swept away by floodwater on Sunday while attempting to cross a stream.
The Guardia Civil confirmed that the 20-year-old, named only as Adrian, was found during the early hours of Monday morning by a group of local volunteers.
Officers formally recovered the body at around 3.45am, bringing an end to an intense overnight search.
The scene was located approximately three kilometres downstream from where Adrian was last seen.
According to sources, the young man was found trapped beneath a fallen tree trunk, close to the hamlet of Obeilar.
Emergency services had been combing the area since Sunday after he was dragged away by the current while trying to cross the swollen watercourse.
The incident occurred amid heavy rainfall that left streams and ravines dangerously swollen across parts of the province.

Authorities have reiterated their appeal to the public to avoid fords, river crossings and watercourses during periods of heavy rain, even when they appear passable, due to the rapid and unpredictable rise in water levels.
The local Partido Popular fraction said in a tribute: ‘Heartbroken, we deeply regret the death of our young neighbor Adrian.
‘There is no consolation for his family, friends, and neighbors for the loss of this young life, which leaves an immense void.
‘We are devastated and mourn your passing. Rest in peace, Adrian.’
According to the Guardia Civil and the town’s mayor, Antonio Salazar, the alarm was raised between 10.30am and 11am after the young man was dragged downstream by the force of the water in Illora.
Adrian, a young resident of Zujaira, had been travelling with a friend in an area known as the Sierra de Parapanda.
Both attempted to cross the Cañada stream on their motorcycles, but the swollen current carried Adrian away. His friend managed to reach safety and immediately reported the incident.
