Three dead in Malaga province

The first tragedy unfolded in Marbella at around 1.36am, when a 30-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a palm tree on Avenida Ramon y Cajal.

Just over 90 minutes later, at 3.01am, another person was killed when a vehicle left the road on the A-7377 near Ronda. Three others were seriously injured and taken to hospitals in Ronda and Malaga.

A third serious incident took place at 7.20am on the A-7, where a collision between a car and a motorcycle forced authorities to close the motorway towards Malaga and one lane in the Cadiz-bound direction.

According to Diario Sur, a driver involved in the crash has died.

Two killed in Sevilla

In Sevilla province, two people died shortly before midnight (11.51pm) in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the A-92, near kilometre 109. Four others were taken to La Merced Hospital in Osuna.

Another crash in the capital, on Calle Torneo, took place shortly after 5am on Sunday, although there have been no reported fatalities.

Two more deaths in Jaen

The final fatalities were recorded in Porcuna (Jaen), where a car left the A-306 and struck an olive tree.

Two of the occupants died at the scene.

Across all incidents, 112 Andalucía mobilised the 061 emergency health service, Guardia Civil, local police forces and, when required, fire crews to rescue trapped passengers.
