This is the devastating aftermath of a deadly crash in Jaen over the weekend.
A photo shared by Andujar firefighters (Bomberos de Andujar), shows how a red vehicle was left totally crushed upon veering off the A-306.
The incident, at around 9.45pn on Saturday, saw the car smash into an olive tree near the town of Porcuna.
Emergency services were alerted after several callers reported that a vehicle had veered off the road and crashed with force.
Fire crews, paramedics and Guardia Civil units rushed to the scene, but there was nothing medics could do for the two occupants, both men aged 55 and 57, who were pronounced dead on arrival.
Firefighters had to cut the victims free due to the severe deformation of the vehicle following the impact.
The Porcuna tragedy came just hours after another fatal accident in Jaen province. A 27-year-old man died late on Friday when a van overturned in Campillo de Arenas.

The crash occurred at 11.14pm on the A-44, near kilometre 68 in the Granada-bound direction. Drivers passing through the area alerted emergency services after seeing the vehicle overturned in a bend.
Guardia Civil, Local Police and fire crews attended the scene, where one person was found trapped beneath the van.
Paramedics from the Andalusian Health Service’s 061 unit confirmed the young man’s death. A second occupant, a 20-year-old, was rescued and rushed to Jaen’s Neurotrauma Hospital.
