Storm Claudia is forecast to land in Andalucia on Thursday, with three provinces placed under a series of weather alerts.
According to state weather agency Aemet, there is a ‘possibility of isolated tornadoes’ in both Huelva and Sevilla between noon and 11.59pm.
Much of Huelva is on an orange alert, with 30mm of rainfall per hour expected over the same period.
Meanwhile, the Atlantic coast of Cadiz and majority of Sevilla province, including the capital, are on a yellow alert, with up to 20mm of rainfall expected.

Both provinces are also on alert for winds of up to 70km/hr, with ‘very strong gusts’.
This is the third time Aemet has issued warnings for tornadoes this autumn.
Last month, the first big Atlantic storm brought tornadoes to Huelva, with one in Gibraleon proving deadly after a man was fatally injured by a collapsing terrace.
Storm Claudia entered Spain on Tuesday night, ushering in several days of rain and strong winds for much of the country.
Aemet confirmed that the ‘high-impact Atlantic depression’ will sweep across the country this week, including Andalucia.
Its effects are expected to intensify on Friday, with unsettled weather lasting at least four days.
