A British tourist who vanished from Alicante airport has been found ‘alive and well’ after sparking serious concern among his family and friends.
Thomas Poxton had been due to fly home in the early hours of Monday morning following a trip to Benidorm.
However, after getting to the airport at around 5.30am, he is believed to have realised he did not have his passport.
He told his friends he was going back to Gran Hotel Bali, where they had been staying, to retrieve the document, but never made it to the hotel.
His mother wrote in an update: ‘Thomas has been found safe and well through the power of Facebook and all you lovely people.’
It was not revealed where Thomas had been for the nearly 24 hours he was missing.
