Fears for Brit who mysteriously vanished from Alicante airport: Family are ‘worried sick’

Thomas Poxton was due to fly home in the early hours of Monday morning following a trip to Benidorm.

A British tourist has vanished from Alicante airport, sparking serious concern among his family and friends.

Thomas Poxton was due to fly home in the early hours of Monday morning following a trip to Benidorm.

However, after getting to the airport at around 5.30am, he is believed to have realised he did not have his passport.

He told his friends he was going back to Gran Hotel Bali, where they had been staying, to retrieve the document, and has not been heard from since.

His mother wrote in a desperate appeal online: ‘This is my son Thomas Poxton, he was last seen in Alicante airport at 5.30am for his flight home.

‘But he left his passport in his hotel and said he was going back for it to gran hotel balli, but he never got there.

‘Please, please if anyone sees or hears from him ask him to call home or go to Palm Court apartments to his uncle Gareth Mitchell.

‘We are all worried sick he has been reported as missing abroad with the police and British embassy, please contact us if anyone sees him.’
