A young girl has been hospitalised after allegedly being shoved by bullies at a Costa del Sol school.
The youngster is reported to be a victim of ‘constant bullying by a group of classmates’ at the public institution in Marbella.
In a photo shared online, the girl can be seen tucked into a hospital bed recovering from a broken nose.
The allegation was shared by the mother via the community Instagram page @marbellasequeja.
The caption read: ‘A mother tells of the suffering of her daughter, a victim of constant bullying by a group of classmates.
‘After insults and attacks, the girl was pushed at school, falling face first and suffering a broken nose that required emergency surgery.
‘The family denounces the school’s lack of response and demands justice and protection to prevent this from happening again.’
The Spanish Eye has contacted the school for comment.
The alleged incident has sparked a wave of anger online, particularly as it comes after a girl in Sevilla jumped to her death after suffering her own bullying ordeal last month.
Grieving relatives of Sandra Peña Villar accused the Irlandesas Loreto, a private Catholic institution, of failing to act despite repeated reports of bullying.
Speaking after a neighbourhood vigil held in her memory, Sandra’s uncle, Isaac Villar, said the family had made two formal complaints to the school, both backed by psychological reports, warning that the teenager was being bullied – but received no response and saw no protective measures put in place.
