Marbella has been rocked by another shooting after a man was targeted while entering a property.
Police have launched an investigation following the incident in the early hours of Monday morning, news of which has only surfaced this evening.
The shooting occurred near the Palacio de Congresos, on Calle Roy Boston, at around 5.30am, when the victim, 38, was shot at multiple times at his front door.
According to police sources cited by SUR, the man managed to dodge the bullets but sustained minor injuries to his leg from a bullet fragment.
The suspected gunman, aged 25, allegedly fled the scene in a rented car and was later arrested in Algeciras, more than 100km away. He is described as being of Arab origin.
Officers were able to identify the vehicle using CCTV footage collected shortly after the attack.

Investigators believe the shooting took place as the victim was unlocking the door to the home, giving the assailant the opportunity to fire at least six shots from behind.
Bullets were later found inside the property, including in the kitchen, where the victim sought refuge.
Police sources said the incident appears to have been a warning or intimidation attempt, though detectives from the Policia Nacional are still working to determine the motive and have not ruled out any line of inquiry.
Sources told Malaga Hoy that the victim and assailant had known each other for some time and had previously had conflicts.
They are reportedly probing whether the shooting was linked to a woman who both the men knew.
There is no evidence yet that the shooting is linked to organised crime.
