This is the moment a car was filmed engulfed in flames on the notorious A-7 road on Saturday.
Footage shared online shows a thick cloud of smoke emanating from the inferno near Benalmadena.
The incident occurred while the vehicle was traveling towards the city of Malaga.
In the clip, the driver and at least one passenger can be seen standing well behind the burning car on the side of the major road.
They appear to be huddling together while scores of vehicles drive past.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The Spanish Eye has contacted to the local police for comment.
