At least two serious motor accidents were recorded on the A-7 along the Costa del Sol on Sunday.

The latest incident in Mijas involved at least one car and a motorbike at the height of La Cala.

Witnesses on social media said the crash has caused significant delays and tailbacks.

It came after an earlier incident in Estepona, which appeared to involve at least three vehicles.

Video of the aftermath of the Mijas crash shows a black motorbike on the ground, while the front of a 4×4 behind it is clearly damaged.

Meanwhile, in Estepona, one red car is seen completely destroyed by the collision.

It is not clear what caused either of the crashes yet as the investigations continue. It is not known how many people are injured nor the severity of said injuries.

The incidents tend to be more frequent in the summer, when thousands of tourists join the already busy daily traffic.
