Tesla has posted another bumper month in Spain, with new car registrations soaring by nearly 61% in June compared to the same month last year.
CEO Elon Musk will have something to smile about after the figures emerged on Tuesday, as his war of words with US President Donald Trump continues to heaten up.
According to data published Monday, 2,632 new Teslas hit Spanish roads last month, up from 1,635 in June 2024.
The figures come amid a broader boom in electric vehicle sales, which more than doubled year-over-year.
Fully electric and hybrid vehicles now account for a growing share of the Spanish car market, spurred by rising fuel costs, improved charging infrastructure and government incentives aimed at cutting emissions.

While Tesla’s growth mirrors trends seen across other EU countries, the numbers are particularly significant in Spain, where EV adoption has historically lagged behind northern Europe.
The most popular model, though not officially detailed in the registration breakdown, is widely believed to be the Tesla Model Y, which continues to dominate Europe-wide charts thanks to competitive pricing and recent production ramp-ups at Giga Berlin.
