The weather in southern Spain will continue its rollercoaster pattern next week, with temperatures set to near a sweltering 40C.
It comes as the weekend is expected to see a sharp drop in temperatures across the region, with showers expected in many inland areas.
But according to various weather services, temperatures will soar once again next Thursday, May 29.
On that day, the mercury in Sevilla is forecast to reach as high as 39C.

In Cordoba and Jaen, the hottest day will be Friday, May 30, when maximum temperatures will reach 36C and 37C respectively.
Those wanting to escape the heat should head to the coast, where maximums will stay below 30C, including along the Costa del Sol.
Thursday will still be the hottest day, with highs of 28C expected in the likes of Estepona and Marbella.
