Much of Andalucia has been placed on a yellow alert for heavy rain and storms today – after experiencing searing heat on Thursday.
The series of weather warnings have been issued by state weather agency Aemet.
Between 2pm and 8pm, the majority of Sevilla province, including the capital city, is expected to see up to 15mm of rainfall per hour.


The identical warning is in place for the entire provinces of Cordoba and Jaen, plus the majority of Granada, bar its coastal region.
In Cadiz province, the same alert is in place in Jimena de la Frontera and Grazalema.
On the Costa Blanca, yellow warnings have been extended to cover the whole of Alicante province, including its coastline and Benidorm.
The alert on the Costa Blanca begins at 6am Friday and lasts until 3pm, with up to 20mm of rainfall predicted per hour.
