This is the moment a brawl erupted between squatters and a so-called ‘desokupa’ force in Estepona.

Footage shared with the Spanish Eye shows a man in a blue tracksuit running down a street in Cancelada while being chased by men in black uniforms.

They then begin fighting him while others catch up and join in the ruckus, including a woman in a green tracksuit who is thrown to the floor.

The chaotic scenes unfolded on Calle Carmen Conde in Cancelada on Tuesday afternoon.

A ‘desokupa’ company had been hired to remove around a dozen squatters from a flat.

After being successfully turfed out, however, they continued to fight with their evictors.

According to reports, they then left the area and returned armed with guns, before firing shots into the air.

One witness told the Spanish Eye: ‘I thought a car had backed up, then I realised it was gunshots, there must have been around eight.

‘I ran back inside and locked the doors, we had no idea what was going on but we heard loads of sirens.’

The shootout sparked a major response from Spanish police, who sealed off the area and did not anyone in or out as a safety precaution.

The alleged shooters fled the scene in a vehicle and remain wanted by police. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

It was the fourth firearms incident in less than a week.
