Majority of Spain placed under weather alerts for rain, hail and 70km/hr winds

In Madrid, where a yellow alert is in place between 6am and 8pm Friday, the heavy rain could be accompanied by hail.

After suffering one of the wettest Marches in history, many in Spain thought the rainy days were behind them. But the wet weather is set to return this weekend as the majority of the country is placed under alert for heavy downpours and storms.
