A British mother-of-three wanted to better protect her home from her ex before he allegedly brutally murdered her last weekend, it has emerged.
Victoria Hart, 33, was stabbed to death inside her property in Alhaurin el Grande, Malaga, at around 11.40am on Saturday.
The alleged killer, her ex, named by his initials J.A.R, handed himself into the Alhaurin de la Torre prison after fleeing the scene, telling officers: ‘Arrest me, I’ve done something very bad.’
Friends of Victoria have since revealed that he had made a series of threats against Victoria, but that she never thought he would follow them through.
One friend of six years named Lorena told Diario Sur that following a ‘bigger fight than usual’ last October, Victoria told her that he ‘threatened to kill her’ and said: ‘You’re going to leave here feet first.’
Victoria decided to report him to the authorities and a restraining order was granted, but he violated it repeatedly, it is claimed.
‘She didn’t trust him and installed security cameras in the house,’ Lorena said, ‘She also wanted to put up a fence so he couldn’t access the porch and she wanted to feel safer.’
Lorena, a fellow hairdresser, added: ‘She told me many things about her relationship that weren’t normal, especially episodes of manipulation and psychological abuse.’

She said after they almost separated two years ago, Victoria decided to give him another chance, but ‘he didn’t change’.
Despite him repeatedly breaking the restraining order, Lorena said Victoria did not report him further because he would have been jailed.
‘She didn’t want to feel guilty about the father of her children being in jail,’ she claimed.
Victoria allegedly told her friends that ‘she didn’t think he was capable of carrying out his threats,’ but the cameras in her home and plans for an iron gate suggest she was scared.
