Snow has fallen on the hills of the Costa del Sol following a night of fierce winds and a dramatic temperature drop.
Blankets of the white stuff were seen on the Sierra Bermeja in Estepona and the Sierra de las Nieves in Malaga.
The Civil Protection force in Estepona said: ‘Good morning from Sierra Bermeja. Please take care if you decide to drive up to see the snow.’
Saturday is forecast to be the coldest day of the week, with maximum temperatures of around 12C along the typically warmer Costa del Sol.
Elsewhere in Andalucia, Sevilla will see highs of 12C, while Cordoba and Granada will be chillier with maximums of 11C and 6C resepctively.
Weather alerts for heavy snow were issued for inland parts of Andalucia on Friday and Saturday, including in Jaen and Granada.
State weather agency Aemet warned of up to 5cm of snow in Cazorla y Segura in Jaen, and 2cm in Gaudix and Baza (Granada).

The 112 emergency service said in a post on X on Saturday morning: ‘Snow is affecting traffic on some Andalucian roads.
‘If you have to travel, check beforehand the condition of the roads you’ll be driving on and confirm if chains are required.’
Significant snow has also fallen in the hills of Cadiz province, particularly in the Sierra de Grazalema.
In a photo shared online, the INFOCA service said: ‘This is how the Sierra de Grazalema (Cadiz) looked this morning.

‘Snow has taken over the Puerto del Boyar pass (1,103 m).
‘This mountain pass is very popular with cyclists due to its challenging climb and also for its panoramic views of the Sierra del Pinar and El Endrinal.’
