Man in his 70s is found dead in middle of Marbella street

Officers from the Policia Nacional, Local Police and paramedics raced to the scene but could do little else but confirm the man's death.

An elderly man has been found dead in the middle of a square in Marbella.

The corpse of the unnamed individual, aged around 75, was discovered off Ricardo Soriano avenue at around 8.30am.

The body was laying on the ground in the plaza near the Bankinter branch, reports Area Costa del Sol.

Officers from the Policia Nacional, Local Police and paramedics raced to the scene but could do little else but confirm the man’s death.

The area was cordoned off while the initial investigation was carried out.

No further details regarding the circumstances of the death have been released.

Authorities will perform an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
