THIS is the moment brave Guardia Civil officers jumped into the sea to rescue a disorientated yachtie in Ibiza.

Footage shared by the force shows the ‘Dream Weaver’ sailboat washed up on the shore in Santa Eulalia.

The conditions are visibily dangerous, with rain lashing down amid a howling and severe winds.

The alarm was first raised by the local police force after it spotted a boat with a broken mast being surrounded by large swells.

The storm battering the island at the time meant anyone inside the vessel was in serious danger of being injured or worse.

The captain initially refused to leave the vessel, and when Guardia Civil officers arrived, he seemed dazed and confused.

He later told police how he had hit his head inside the boat and was unconscious for several hours.

When he woke up, he was very disorientated and was suffering from a severe headache.

The man followed the instructions of the officers and jumped into the water.

Two agents didn’t hesitate to jump in after him and pull him to safety.

He was taken to Can Misses Hospital where he was checked for injuries.
