A fresh shooting has been recorded on the Costa del Sol after a man was shot in the face.
The 41-year-old was admitted to Malaga’s Clinico Hospital last weekend, according to police sources cited by Diario Sur.
He had reportedly arrived at the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital in the early hours of Saturday (December 6), with a gunshot wound to the face.
The staff immediately alerted the police, in line with security protocols.
According to officers, the victim told doctors he was shot while buying drugs in Torremolinos, though he offered few other details and has not been cooperative with the investigation.
The Policia Nacional have taken over the investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
The victim’s current condition is not known, but police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening at the time he was admitted.
