A dead body has been found on a popular hiking trail in Marbella.
A man travelling along the Ruta de Los Monjes (Route of the Monks) made the grisly discovery at around 6pm on Thursday.
The corpse, belonging to an unidentified man, was found in the area known as Mina de Buenavista.
According to the 112 emergency service, the hiker called in to report the body.
Paramedics, police and the coroner were all dispatched to the scene.
It comes amid the search for a missing 28-year-old, who vanished from Marbella more than two weeks ago.
Nicolas, who worked at a churro stand, vanished from the city on November 10.
While signs point to the corpse found belonging to Nicolas, this has yet to be confirmed by the authorities.
