According to the latest survey by the Spanish government, one issue in particular has been worrying the people of Spain in 2025.
Throughout the year, the state-funded Centre for Sociological Research (CIS) surveys residents nationwide to ask them what their biggest concerns are about the country.
This year, housing has been the number one issue, reaching new highs in the latest poll after appearing at the top of the list for 40% of respondees.
The rise in housing-related anxiety far surpasses other social issues, the data suggests.
Political concerns are mentioned by 19.2% of respondents, while immigration registers a slight decline and now stands at 18.9%.
Behind housing, the economic crisis continues to hold a prominent position, with 18.9% of those surveyed identifying it as a major challenge.
Not far behind are worries linked to job quality, affecting 16.2% of respondents.
