A BRITISH expat is pleading with residents to keep their eyes open following a potential sighting of her ‘stolen’ Yorkshire terrier.
Little Udon was walking with its owner, Lexi Murray, in Estepona in early March when he went missing on the beach next to the El Fuerte hotel.
She believes it was stolen after several people reporting seeing a little Yorkshire terrier being taken away by two women with other dogs.
Lexi has spent weeks searching for her beloved pet, garnering huge support from fellow Brits along the coast.
Now, one Brit has shared a photo of a lost Yorkshire terrier in La Duquesa in Manilva, giving hope that it could be Udon.
After seeing the picture (pictured above, left), Lexi rushed to the port this morning in a bid to track him down.
She said: ‘I don’t know (if it’s him) at the moment, I’ve been sat and walked through all the streets of the port since 7.30am this morning. I’m still here, not given up.’
Udon is described as ‘very friendly’ and his disappearance has shattered Lexi’s family.
An initial appeal on March 10 read: ‘My friend has lost her dog around 7.30pm, he’s called Udon… very friendly and is wearing his harness, something spooked him and he just ran.’
Witnesses later told Lexi that they saw ‘two ladies walking with three small dogs and a Yorkshire terrier running behind them, which we believe is our little Udon.’
Lexi wrote this weekend: ‘Please we are desperate to get our baby back. His name is udon!
‘We don’t care who you are we won’t press charges we just want him back, our household is completely broken and we are heartbroken, please bring him back.’
The family have spent weeks scouring Estepona looking for little Udon, even driving up and down the coast on the odd chance they would spot him.
Lexi said she is now offering a cash reward for Udon’s return and says she will not involve the police as long as he is returned safely.
