All trains were suspended between Madrid and Andalucia on Tuesday night due to a fire in Toledo.

The incident occurred shortly after 7pm, when thick smoke from a factory fire spread across the tracks between Yeles and La Sagra, making visibility impossible and bringing trains to a standstill.

Renfe confirmed that the suspension affects not only long-distance connections between Andalucia and Madrid, but also services through Castilla-La Mancha, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded or facing long delays.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene as the fire ripped through the factory, with firefighters still battling the flames by nightfall. The exact cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed.

Rail operators stressed that the measure was necessary for passenger safety while visibility remains dangerously reduced by smoke.

No timeline has yet been given for when services might resume, with officials urging passengers to check the latest updates before travelling.

According to Renfe, at least six trains departing from or arriving in Sevilla and Malaga are affected by the incident.

Specifically, the 6.35pm AVE train between Madrid and Malaga is parked in Torrejon de Velasco, while the AVE train between Sevilla and Madrid, which departed at 4:36pm, is parked in Malagon.

The 5pm Malaga-Madrid high-speed train is stopped in Mora, and the high-speed line between Sevilla and Valencia is stopped in Ciudad Real.

Finally, the Murcia-Malaga high-speed train is at Madrid Puerta de Atocha, as is the Figueres-Sevilla connection.
