A series of alerts for heavy rain and hail have been issued across eastern Spain for Wednesday.
State weather agency Aemet has placed inland Barcelona under an orange warning between 12pm and midnight tomorrow.
Meteorologists predict up to 40mm of rainfall within an hour, adding that strong storms will come with a ‘probability of large hail stones.’
Meanwhile, the coast of Barcelona, including Barcelona city, plus the coasts of Tarragona and Girona will be under a yellow alert on Wednesday.
The regions under a yellow advisory are being warned of 20mm of rain in an hour and strong storms with a possibility of hail.

The dramatic weather makes a stark difference from the stifling temperatures experienced in Barcelona over the weekend and start of this week.
Meanwhile, further south, the inland of Murcia, including Murcia capital, will be on alert for extreme heat on Wednesday.
Aemet predicts highs of 38C, with a yellow advisory in place between 1pm and 9pm.
