‘Since then, I’ve undergone nearly 50 sessions of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other intense treatments. These were toxic and exhausting – but I kept going. I had to.

‘Two months ago, my doctors told me there was nothing more they could offer – and sent me home to let nature take its course. I was given four to six months to live.

‘Despite this, I’ve had no choice but to keep working full-time. I run a small business that still doesn’t fully support us, and the financial pressure has been immense. We’ve sold everything we could – including our car and most of our possessions – just to keep searching for a solution.

‘After months of soul-searching, I put my ego aside and made a decision: to ask for help. Not because I’ve given up – but because I’m not ready to stop fighting.’

Paul wants to raise enough funds to pay for life-extending therapies, with several options currently on the table.

Tragic: Family rocked by Paul’s terminal diagnosis

They include Targeted Therapy (TACE), in Germany, which Paul explains ‘delivers chemotherapy directly into the tumor – like a sniper, not a shotgun. More precise, less toxic.’ The estimated cost is betwenn €12,000 and €47,000 depending on the number of sessions.

There are also cell-Based Immunotherapies such as TIL the US which cost between €62,000 and €350,000.

Among the therapies are CAR T-Cell therapies in Spain, US, India and China which genetically reprogramme T-cells to seek and destroy cancer cells.
