A series of very different weather alerts have been issued across south and south east Spain for today.
According to state weather agency Aemet, Andalucia will bake with highs of 40C, while to the east in Alicante there will be severe storms and hail (although it will be far from cold).
In Andalucia, orange weather warnings are in place in Sevilla province, Huelva province, Cordoba and Jaen, from 1pm until 9pm. Experts predict highs of 40C.
But the picture is looking very different on the eastern coast, with multiple warnings for rain and storms.
The areas slightly inland in Alicante, near to Benidorm, are on a yellow alert for rain and storms that could be accompanied by hail.

The downpours will be at their worst between 2pm and 10pm, Aemet said.

Under the same alert are all inland areas of Valencia, Castellon and practically the entire north and north east of the country.
Despite the rain and hail, temperature highs in Alicante and Valencia today will remain above 30C.
Some areas have alerts for extreme heat in the high 30s, storms and rain all at once, including parts of Lleida and Teruel in the northeast.
