Aldi is tapping into the Costa del Sol’s rising temperatures with a budget-friendly gadget that’s likely to be snapped up within days.

The supermarket chain has rolled out a multifunction ice cream maker for just €99.99 as part of its latest ‘bazaar’ promotion, already landing in stores across the coast this week.

With temperatures climbing and summer arriving earlier than usual, the timing could hardly be better.

The Ambiano machine promises to do far more than just churn out basic ice cream.

According to the packaging, it can prepare everything from gelato and sorbets to milkshakes, frozen cocktails and even smoothie bowls, all at the touch of a button.

It comes with multiple preset programmes designed to take the effort out of the process, alongside adjustable settings to tweak texture and flavour.

There’s also a ‘re-spin’ function – a feature typically found on more expensive models – aimed at refining consistency after the initial mix.

Each unit includes three 500ml containers, making it ideal for small batches, whether you’re experimenting with flavours or just trying to survive another sweltering afternoon on the terrace.

At 800W, it’s a fairly powerful countertop appliance for the price bracket, and Aldi is clearly positioning it as an affordable alternative to premium ice cream makers that can cost several hundred euros.

But like most of Aldi’s middle aisle deals, availability will be limited.

These weekly ‘special buys’ are notorious for disappearing quickly, especially when they coincide with seasonal demand – and with thermometers already pushing into the mid 20s along parts of the Costa del Sol, demand for anything cold is only heading one way.
