These were Andalucia’s busiest airports in February after records broken

In total, 2,541,724 fliers passed through the region during the month, with 23,461 flights recorded.

Airports across Andalucia handled more than 2.5 million passengers in February, according to the latest figures released by airport operator Aena.

In total, 2,541,724 fliers passed through the region during the month, with 23,461 flights recorded.

Malaga Airport once again led passenger traffic, with more than 1.57 million travellers using the Costa del Sol hub.

That figure represents a 3.5% increase compared with the same month last year and is its busiest February on record.

Sevilla Airport ranked second, handling 785,021 passengers and posting a stronger annual increase of 8.5%.

Elsewhere in the region, Granada Airport recorded 94,642 passengers, representing a slight decline of 0.6%.

Almeria Airport saw modest growth of 2.9%, reaching 42,092 passengers.

Jerez Airport handled 38,401 passengers during the month, marking a 3% increase, while Cordoba Airport saw the largest percentage growth, with 3,017 travellers – an increase of more than 520% compared with February last year.

In terms of flight operations, Malaga again led the region with 11,144 aircraft movements, up 1.9% year-on-year.

Sevilla followed with 5,783 operations, representing a 5.1% rise.

Jerez Airport recorded 3,417 movements, though this marked a significant drop of 12.6% compared with the same month in 2025. Granada Airport saw 1,565 operations, up 1%.

Both Almeria and Cordoba experienced declines in flight operations. Almeria recorded 806 flights, down 18.9%, while Cordoba handled 526 operations, a drop of 64.1%.

Meanwhile, the Algeciras heliport in Cadiz province handled 2,692 passengers during February, a decrease of 14.1% compared with the previous year. It recorded 220 helicopter movements, down 9.1%.
