The prestigious ranking evaluates schools using 36 objective criteria, including academic excellence, language teaching, facilities, student care, international outlook and the use of innovative teaching methods.

Andalucia features strongly in the ranking, with 18 schools from the region included.

Sevilla

Among them are three well-known private schools from the province of Sevilla: Highlands School Sevilla, St. Mary’s School and Yago School Sevilla.

Highlands School Sevilla, located on the road to Utrera, stands out for its focus on holistic education.

The school is a Cambridge International School and promotes trilingual learning from an early age, alongside extensive sports and technology facilities.

St. Mary’s School, based on Avenida de Jerez in Sevilla city, is recognised for its emphasis on multilingual education, as well as its work in areas such as neuroeducation, public speaking, robotics and audiovisual production.

The school has also been recognised by UNICEF as a reference centre for children’s rights.

Yago School Sevilla, located in Castilleja de la Cuesta, appears on the list thanks to its International Baccalaureate programme, strong global outlook and wide range of clubs, sports and artistic activities.

Beyond Sevilla, several other schools across Andalucía also appear in the Forbes ranking.

Almeria

Almeria has three schools on the list: Altaduna-Saladares, SEK Alboran and The British School of Almeria.

Cadiz

Cadiz province is represented by El Altillo International School, El Centro Inglés and Sotogrande International School.

Cordoba

In Cordoba, The British School of Cordoba also features in the ranking.

Malaga

Malaga province has the highest number of schools on the list in Andalucia, including Colegio Internacional Torrequebrada, Colegio San Jose, Lycee Français International de Malaga, Laude San Pedro International College, Los Olivos, The British School of Malaga and Yago School Malaga.

Forbes says the schools included in the ranking share several key strengths, including strong academic results, advanced technology in classrooms, emotional wellbeing programmes and the ability to adapt to new challenges such as artificial intelligence.

In an increasingly competitive education sector, the presence of so many Andalucian schools highlights the region’s growing reputation for high-quality education.
