With supply low and demand high, it’s no secret that Marbella is one of Spain’s hottest property markets.
Prices continue to surge in the Costa del Sol gem, with many villas reaching well over €10million along the Golden Mile.
But on the western edge of the municipality lies San Pedro de Alcantara, where buyers are flocking thanks to its Spanish charm and top quality amenities.
While it was once a cheaper alternative to Marbella centre, San Pedro is now emerging as a priority for house hunters – especially with quality schools like Laude inside the municipality.
Other benefits include multiple gyms, one of the best padel tennis clubs in the world (NAC) and every supermarket imaginable – Mercadona, Aldi, Dia, Carrefour, and since this month a brand new Lidl.
Now, new property developments are springing up all over the town, below are two of the latest.
Alcantara del Mar: €399,000 – €2.55million
Alcantara del Mar is nestled behind San Pedro’s central boulevard, making it a short walk from the beach while being close to all the amenities and town centre.
The project consists of 17 apartments, 10 townhouses and 11 villas.
The apartments start from €399,000, but may have already increased in price if the first few units have gone. The bigger and penthouse apartments will cost you up to €1.37million.

The townhouses, meanwhile, start from €1.13million, while a villa will cost you between €2.1million and €2.55million.
The project’s website reads: ‘This stunning project seamlessly blends modern living with an unbeatable location, nestled beside the vibrant Boulevard de San Pedro de Alcantara.
‘Surrounded by lush greenery and just a short walk from the charming coastal town of San Pedro Alcantara.’
The Grove
The Grove is currently being built right on the eastern end of the San Pedro boulevard.

There are 139 homes, which will range in size from one beds to four beds, with prices starting from €390,000.
According to local estate agency Cloud Nine: ‘The project is part of an up-and-coming district in San Pedro de Alcantara, where several residential projects and a future hotel will be built, consolidating a dynamic, safe environment with clear value projection over time.
‘The development features exclusive amenities, designed to deliver a true high-end resort lifestyle. The entire complex is enhanced by meticulously landscaped gardens, creating an elegant, private environment that blends seamlessly with contemporary architecture.’
The Grove boasts an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor heated pool, as well as rooftop lounge and yoga area.
Residents will also have use of a fully-equipped gym and spa, plus dedicated areas for children and adults, all set within a gated environment.
