Several small earthquakes have rattled parts of Malaga province in recent days, with tremors recorded across multiple towns.
The latest quake struck Ronda on Monday morning at 12.57pm, registering a magnitude of 1.6 at a depth of around 21km.
The strongest tremor so far was recorded in Estepona on Sunday afternoon at 3.53pm, reaching a magnitude of 2.2 near the surface.
Saturday saw the highest number of tremors, with minor quakes detected in Gaucin, Jimera de Libar, Alfarnate and Cortes de la Frontera.
None of those tremors exceeded magnitude 1.6, according to seismic data.
Cortes de la Frontera had also been the epicentre of another small earthquake on Friday.
While such low-magnitude earthquakes are usually barely noticeable, they are relatively common in southern Spain due to the region’s geological activity.
Authorities say there is no cause for concern, but monitoring of seismic activity in the area continues.
