The body of missing Brit Iain Stanley has been found in a ravine after he vanished from Nerja on February 11.
The 79-year-old Scotsman, who had been living in the Costa del Sol town with his wife for several months, was discovered at around midday on Wednesday in the Ladera del Mar area, close to Torrox.
Guardia Civil officers and paramedics attended the scene and confirmed his death.
A judicial commission later carried out the formal removal of the body.
There were reportedly no obvious external signs of violence, although an autopsy will now determine the exact cause of death.

An appeal had been launched to find the pensioner after he vanished from near his home.
In the appeal, it said the Scotsman disappeared from near his property on Avenida Antonio Ferrandis ‘Chanquete’ at around 2pm – and that he was without his passport and phone.
