Renfe has kept most rail services in Andalucia suspended early on Saturday (February 7) as severe weather continues to affect the region after several days of disruption.
According to the operator, services are limited to a small number of routes. Only the C1 Cercanias line in Málaga remains in operation, while high-speed AVE services are running solely between Madrid and Villanueva de Cordoba.
The information comes from Renfe’s latest update on its official X account and was reported by Europa Press.
Renfe says that train services across Andalucia remain largely cancelled on Saturday morning due to the ongoing weather conditions.
The only rail services still running are the Malaga C1 commuter line and the AVE route between Madrid and Villanueva de Cordoba.
Renfe has confirmed that high-speed trains linking Madrid with Andalucia are not completing their usual journeys. All AVE services currently terminate at Villanueva de Cordoba because of adverse weather across the region.
To make up for the reduced rail service, Renfe has put a replacement road service in place. Passengers travelling between Villanueva de Cordoba and Cordoba are being transported by road.
Renfe added that the remainder of the Andalusian rail network will stay suspended while weather conditions persist.
