Moment truck is blown over by strong winds in southern Spain

This is the moment a truck was blown over by strong winds in southern Spain on Saturday (January 31).

Dashcam footage shows the vehicle beginning to wobble as it travels down the A-33 motorway near Yecla, in Murcia.

The truck’s right-hand wheels begin to pick up off the road as the vehicle swerves into the left lane.

It is then seen completely falling on its side after being toppled over by the strong gales.

It is not known if the driver was injured in the incident.

The entire region of Murcia was under a yellow weather warning for strong winds on Saturday.

By 4pm, the 112 emergency centre had received at least 102 calls from citizens reporting 92 incidents related to the strong gales.

Most of these reports involved falling objects and landslides (53) and obstacles in public areas (23).

The most affected municipalities were Murcia (28) and Cartagena (25).
