A 70-year-old driver has been airlifted to hospital following a horror car crash on the Costa del Sol.
Footage shared online showed how the car left the road and plunged off a bridge near Casabermeja on Tuesday.
The man is in a critical condition after suffering a severe head injury, according to local reports.
The crash happened at around 2.10pm, when emergency services were alerted to a vehicle leaving the A-45.
The driver, who was the only person involved, is believed to have lost control of the car and slammed into a wall at the side of the road, which collapsed on impact.
The vehicle then fell several metres, crashing into the river below.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and managed to free the man from the overturned car before he was rushed to a waiting air ambulance.
He was flown urgently to hospital, where doctors are treating him for what is believed to be a serious traumatic brain injury. His condition is described as critical.
