A violent female con artist has been arrested after targeting at least two older men in Ronda.

The 41-year-old is accused of robbing two victims, aged 61 and 75, in their respective homes after chatting them up at a pub and being invited back.

The first victim raised the alarm after he woke up from his night with the suspect feeling disoriented and confused.

He soon realised more than €500 were missing, along with his mobile phone and a tablet.

A trip to the hospital confirmed there were benzodiazepines in his system.

Police believe the victim had a drug slipped into his drink to make him pass out, allowing the thief to raid his house uninterrupted.

In the second incident, the same woman unexpectedly visited the home of a man in his 70s.

When he opened the door, she knocked him to the ground with a forceful shove, causing a bleeding wound to his chin.

Then, taking advantage of the man’s vulnerability, the intruder forced him, under threat, to go to an ATM to withdraw more than €1,000, stealing the money.

Tracking a mobile phone stolen from one of the victims proved crucial in identifying the suspect.

She was brought before a judge and released on licence, only to be arrested again over a burglary, allegedly climbing into the home via an open window.

Officers seized items from the burglary, including several bank cards in the name of the homeowner, sets of keys, and €830 in cash.
