Solar panels blown off roof in Estepona due to strong winds

A night of ferocious winds sparked a chaotic night for emergency workers along the Costa del Sol.

Firefighters revealed how they had to work through the night and early morning to respond to fallen trees and various objects that had been blown away by the harsh conditions.

The strong gales were felt across southern and eastern Spain on Wednesday night, accompanied by showers thanks the effects of Storm Harry.

A series of Atlantic fronts are expected to hit Spain over the coming days, with forecasts showing rain and wind for at least the next week across Andalucia.

Photos from Estepona last night showed how solar panels had been completely blown off one roof.
