CCTV images show the moment a 36-year-old man used his bike as a weapon to smash up at least eight cars in a Malaga street.

According to the Policia Nacional, the suspect went on a rampage in the El Molinillo neighbourhood, targeting car windows and wing mirrors.

For unknown reasons, he left a trail of destruction along Calle Duque de Rivas, a residential area close to Malaga city centre.

The investigation was launched after residents reported damage to their parked cars.

Investigators believe the man struck after nightfall, taking advantage of a moment when there were few people in the street to attack the cars without being interrupted.

At this stage, police say the motive remains unknown.

Crucially, the incidents were captured by public CCTV cameras, allowing officers to identify the suspect and issue an alert.

The man was eventually tracked down and arrested by officers and will soon face a judge.

Police sources confirmed that the damage to each vehicle exceeds €400, meaning the total cost to residents is likely to run into several thousand euros.
