A sailboat has been safely removed from the shores of Estepona after running aground on Friday morning.
The vessel, named Nemesis, was pictured washed up opposite the Costalita residential area.
Emergency services were alerted at around 11.30am, after a call reported that the boat had become stranded on the sand.
According to reports, two people were on board the sailboat, but both were able to reach land without assistance, and no medical attention was required.
Although there were no injuries, the boat itself required rescue in order to be removed from the beach.
The Salvamento Marítimo coordination centre in Tarifa mobilised the rescue vessel Salvamar GADIR.
The operation also involved the Guardia Civil and Policía Local, who worked together to secure the area and ensure public safety.
Once the sailboat had been stabilised, rescue crews successfully freed it from the sand and towed it to the Port of Estepona.
The incident was resolved without further complications, allowing normal conditions to be restored along this stretch of coastline.
