This is the moment a beached whale was saved after washing up on the Costa del Sol.
Footage shared online shows the animal thrashing on the shores of Benalmadena on New Year’s Day evening.
Around a dozen men and women can be seen trying to push the mammal back into sea.
Eventually, they are seen swimming in the shallow waters alongside the animal before it heads off on its own accord.
‘God bless these wonderful people who saved the whale washed up on Benalmadena beach,’ the video caption said.
Locals commenting on the clip praised the group for helping the whale return to sea.
‘Humanity still exists,’ wrote one, ‘What an amazing feat, thank you to everyone who made it possible!’
