A fresh appeal has been issued for a British man who disappeared from the Costa del Sol more than two months ago.
Ruaridh (pronounced Rori) Tanner, aged in his 30s, was last heard from on October 7, when his trail is thought to have gone cold in Nerja, according to alerts issued by several missing persons organisations this week.
The case has been publicised by SOS Desaparecidos, which says Tanner may have disappeared while travelling with his vehicle – a silver Volkswagen bearing UK registration LN64 XDT.
Conflicting age details have emerged. SOS Desaparecidos lists Tanner as 37, while another organisation involved in the search, ERICAN Rescate ONG, describes him as 33.
His family has appealed publicly for help in locating him, according to the reports.
SOS Desaparecidos said Tanner is approximately 1.85 metres tall, with brown hair, and has two distinctive tattoos – a small dog on his left calf and a caduceus symbol on the back of his left arm.

Search groups have not ruled out the possibility that Tanner may now be in the UK. An international alert has been circulated as a precaution, and the investigation remains open.
Anyone with information is asked to contact emergency services or police on 112, 061 (Guardia Civil) or 091 (Policía Nacional).
