A deluge caused widespread flooding along the Costa del Sol overnight with many streets turned into rivers.
Footage shared online from Marbella and Fuengirola showed cars struggling to travel on roads that were filling with rain water.
The dramatic scenes came amid a yellow alert that had been issued by state weather agency Aemet.
The first alerts begin at 9pm on Friday, affecting Malaga’s coast, including Estepona, Marbella, Malaga city and Velez-Malaga.
Aemet was warning of heavy rainfall until 3am on Saturday, with up to 15mm per square metre falling in an hour.

On the Costa Tropical and Almeria coast, a yellow alert is in place between 5pm Saturday and until at least mignight.
Aemet is predicting rough conditions at sea, with winds of up to 60km/hr and waves of two to three metres.
