Yoki is described as 'affectionate' and 'sociable with other dogs and children'.

A Spanish water dog needs a loving home after retiring from the Policia Nacional.

Yoki is described as ‘affectionate’ and ‘sociable with other dogs and children’.

In a post on X, the police said: ‘He has lived in a home before and his handler wants to visit him, so we are looking for a family in Cadiz or its surroundings.’

Yoki’s profile can be found at the Heroes de 4 Patas website, which lists retired service dogs in need of fostering or homing.

It reads: ‘Meet Yoki, a male Spanish Water Dog belonging to the National Police.

‘He is retiring due to his age and is in perfect health. He gets along well with adult dogs of both sexes and children.

Yoki is described as ‘affectionate’ and ‘sociable with other dogs and children’.

‘He has lived in a home. His handler would like to visit him occasionally, so we are looking for families in Cádiz and/or the surrounding area.

‘If you are interested in adopting him, please email info@heroesde4patas.org and we will tell you how to proceed.’
