A 26-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after being shot in the leg in Marbella.
The shooting is the second to rock the Costa del Sol town within 24 hours.
The victim was hit by at least one bullet in the tibia at around 10pm on Wednesday.
Andalucia’s 112 emergency service received multiple calls reporting a series of gunshots on Avenida Miguel de Cervantes.
Callers said a man was lying on the ground asking for help after being struck by the shots.
Footage shared online shows multiple police vehicles and a Policia Nacional van responding to the scene, with part of the avenue closed off.
The incident took place in Nueva Andalucia, just along the road from the Los Naranjos padel tennis club.

Photos taken by the Spanish Eye on Thursday morning show where police tape had sealed off the scene.
One local resident told this paper: ‘It was quite scary hearing the shots, I just hope the victim is okay.’
They added that ‘unfortunately’ the crime is ‘not surprising’.
‘We all know that this is a gangster’s paradise so I think we’re a bit desensitised to it all now,’ they added.
‘This is certainly not the first shooting in Nueva Andalucia and it won’t be the last, just don’t get involved with the wrong people and you won’t be in the firing line.’
The motive for Wednesday night’s shooting remains unknown as the investigation continues.
Police and paramedics stabilised the victim at the scene before he was taken to hospital for urgent treatment. His condition has not been disclosed. The Policia Nacional is leading the investigation.
It came just a day after another shooting was reported in Las Albarizas, at around 1pm on Tuesday.
In that case, several shots were allegedly fired outside a bar following a confrontation, though no injuries were reported.
According to witnesses, the gunfire came from an individual travelling in a car, who fled immediately after the incident. Local and national police units responded but found only shell casings at the scene.
Nueva Andalucia has been the scene of headline-grabbing incidents this year.
In April, a shooting in a parking lot was filmed before going viral on social media.
In July, an alleged British narco wanted by the UK’s National Crime Agency was arrested while hiding out in the expat enclave.
The suspect, named as Andrew Doran, was wanted by UK authorities for his alleged role in a network that imported large quantities of cocaine into the country.
According to the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), Doran was traced after logging into an online banking account from southern Spain, leaving a digital footprint that led investigators directly to him.
Spanish police confirmed that Doran was detained on July 8 in the Nueva Andalucia area of Marbella during a joint operation between the Policia Nacional and international liaison officers.
Following his arrest, he was placed in custody while extradition proceedings began.
